This page is about my trip to Egypt from December
7-19 of 2003. I visited Egypt with an organization called
People to People International with 50 other students from
France, Russia, Vietnam, Czech Republic, Albania, England,
Canada, Romania, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan,
Portugal, Kenya, Estonia, South Africa, Tunisia and the
United States. PTPI is a program with a goal of reaching
international understanding in order to better the world
and promote peace. I'm not really going to go into depth
with the program so if you want to learn more, visit their
web page or go ahead and ask me about it. All this page
will tell you is the experience I had while in Egypt. Now,
looking back, I wish I had done so much different. Perhaps
I was too young to fully appreciate the opportunity, but I
have no doubt that this experience has had a great
influence in shaping me into what I am today and what I
will be tomorrow.
...we should do whatever we can to encourage contact
amongst people because, after all, it is not a question of
peace between governments - it's rather a question of peace
between peoples.
